Every mile ridden is recorded by logging into Harley-Davidson’s online mileage accumulator. The end result sees a rolling odometer record the collective distance traveled by all World Ride participants.
Riders from 65 countries participated in the 2013 World Ride to clock more than 10 million miles. India clocked 611,076 miles for the global tally. Having been among the top 5 contributors last year, Harley-Davidson India would aim to ride more this June. harley-Davidson India riders will log their miles solo, in groups, and through a variety of dealer-led events across the 13 chapters. Over a 100 Harley-Davidson owners will ride to Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh with social media activity revolving around #HDworldride.
This month, Royal Enfield riders will begin their 11th Himalayan Odyssey on June 21, 2014. 70 riders will reach Khardung La – the world’s highest motorable road at 18,379 ft. The 17 day ride spans 2500+ kilometres across Parwanoo, Narkanda, Kalpa, Kaza, Keylong, Sarchu and Leh.
Royal Enfield Himalayan Reunion 2014 2nd edition is scheduled for June 29, 2014 at Leh. Riders will ride up through Manali-Leh road or via Srinagar and Kargil to reach Leh. Apart from music for celebration, team events like ‘Assembly Wars’ and solo events like ‘Slow Race’ and ‘trials’ will keep riders engaged at the reunion. Himalayan Reunion is held on 29th June when Himalayan Odyssey 2014 participants reach Leh. Those who aren’t part of the odyssey can ride to Leh too and be part of celebrations. Activity online will revolve around #HO2014 and #HimalayanREunion.
