Hindustan Motors jv with Raaj Unocal Lubricants Ltd

Hindustan Motors Limited along with Raaj Unocal Lubricants Limited have inked a deal wherein the latter will undertake all manufacturing and marketing operations of co branded engine oils solely for Hindustan Motors (HM). This joint agreement is for a period of three years.

Co-banded products such as UNO HM GUARDOL will be exclusively for diesel vehicles, while UNO HM GAS-O-DUO+ will be for all non-diesel vehicles. The deal will also include UNO AMBI DSL+ which unlike the two other products which are to be available at all HMs’ service centres across 13 states the later will be available only in replacement markets.

This joint agreement will also see the introduction of three genuine oil grades to be used in HMs’ diesel, petrol and CNG engine vehicles. A special offer is being made to taxi drivers who will be able to avail of such facilities along with cash back coupons, free check-ups, and attractive discounts on servicing.

These lubricants will be developed with joint efforts of HM and Raaj Unocal. Raaj Unocal has developed 76 mobile labs and a mobile oil testing kit which will assist in detection of timing of oil change. This system will go a long way in saving money while also enabling optimum functioning of the engine thus avoiding any high expenditure on repairs.
