Honda Brio sedan caught on test in Thailand: India launch in 2013

Honda Brio sedan was recently caught on test on the streets of Thailand. Brio sedan, Being launched in a sub four meter category will enable Honda to take advantage of excise concessions and price the new Brio sedan competitively against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Toyota Etios, Tata Indigo eCS and Mahindra Verito CS against which it will compete.

Honda Brio sedan will be offered in a 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol engine. After its launch in Thailand, Honda will launch the Brio sedan in India, which is expected to happen in the second quarter of 2013. Once launched in Indian markets, Honda India will ensure that much of their engine components are localized to keep costs at minimum and it is this that will go a long way in reviving sales that has seen a marked fall due to recurrent petrol price hikes in recent times.

The big news with the launch of Honda Brio sedan in India is that it will also be offered in a diesel engine options. Honda says that it will be the best diesel engine powered car in its segment, more powerful and more efficient than anything the Indian auto industry has seen. Honda says, Brio sedan will be a sedan of your dreams.
