New Honda City arrives at dealerships

Fourth gen Honda City sedan will be launched in India by early January 2014. Offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine option for the first time ever, the new City bookings have already begun at authorised dealerships of Honda Car India.

Loaded with features, the new City has now arrived at Honda dealership, as is seen in the images here from ICE. Unlike the model seen at the test drive event, which was the top-end variant, this seems to be the mid-level V variant of City. The features missing as compared to the top-end variant are sunroof, leather seats, leather strap on steering wheel and gear knob. Apart from this, all other features are present, from colour display to touch controlled air condition functions.

Offering more space than the outgoing variant, the new City diesel is one of the most awaited car in India. Ever since the price of petrol started going northward, the demand for diesel powered cars have been on the rise. It is also because of this reason that the City is no longer segment leader, a spot which is currently enjoyed by Hyundai Verna.

But Honda has some great plans, that will see them emerge as the next big passenger car maker in India, after Maruti and Hyundai. Launch of Amaze was just the start, the near future holds the launch of new City, Jazz premium hatch (Volkswagen Polo category) and Mobilio MPV (Maruti Ertiga rival). All three cars will be launched in 2014.
