Hyundai ix25 compact SUV in a stylish new rendering
To be revealed at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show next month, Hyundai ix25 compact SUV has been spotted testing in the past few months. Now, as the unveiling gets closer, Car and Driver auto magazine has revealed an illustration of the ix25 on their cover page of this month’s edition. This illustration might just be the real deal.
Demand for compact SUVs is on the rise. Major car makers are unveiling new concepts in this segment these days, as research reveals that this segment will get a huge demand in the near future. To be ready for such buyers, Hyundai has the ix25 compact SUV.
To be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options, the new Hyundai ix25 will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport in India, once launched. In the international market, the Hyundai ix25 will compete with the likes of Renault Captur, Nissan Juke, and upcoming cars like Volkswagen Taigun.
Based on the new i20 platform, ix25 will be lighter, powerful and efficient. Styling of the new Hyundai compact SUV is based on the Curb concept which was showcased back in 2011. Engine options will be in the form of 1.2 l petrol and 1.4l diesel.
