Last week, the 500,000th BMW motorcycle flat-twin-engined GS model series was celebrated as it came off the production line. Berlin-Spandau has been manufacturing motorcycles since 1969, and since 1980, BMW Motorrad GS models with boxer engine, too.
Dhoom:3 global release is scheduled for 20th December 2013. High speed chase sequences continue to be a central theme of the film series, and this time Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) and his partner Ali (Uday Chopra) are seen on a BMW S 1000 RR superbike in pursuit of Sahir (Aamir Khan) who’s seen riding a BMW K 1300 R. Chicago and Mumbai were used as folm locales.
The 3rd sequel of Bollywood action thriller Dhoom, D:3 releases later this month. The film retains some of their old cast, and Aamir Khan has joined in this time around. The new film sees Aamir escaping through the streets on a BMW K 1300 R while his antagonist follows in an S 1000 RR.
BMW Group retail sales were 1,602,018 million vehicles for January- October 2013, equating to 7.3% sales increase over Q1-Q3 2012. Q3 Group revenues stood at 18.75 billion euros, almost at the same level as in 2012. Development of new vehicle projects and alternative technologies is in focus with strict CO2 requirements being taken seriously.
Dhoom 3 movie features two BMW superbikes, K1300R and S 1000 RR. Both bikes are shown in the trailer of the upcoming Bollywood movie, the former ridden by Aamir Khan, while the latter by Uday Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan.
As 18th Milipol opens its doors in Paris from November 19-22, 2013, BMW Motorrad will be in attendance where it will be showcasing a range of authority vehicles and special purpose equipment.
