Lexus Concept car to be unveiled in Paris this month: Beats Mercedes and BMW in August car sales
Lexus has revealed that they will be bring a new concept car at the Paris Motor Show, which is schedued to start later this month….
Lexus has also sold the most number of luxury cars in the United States during the month of August 2012. For the first time since December 2010, Lexus has featured as the No 1 luxury car maker in the US. Japanese car maker, Toyota’s luxury car brand, Lexus managed to sell 24,237 cars in the US last month, rising 34%.
But it will be difficult for Lexus to feature as the No 1 luxury car manufacturer in the US or 2012, as Mercedes Benz leads the race by 18,000 units and BMW by 14,000 units, considering the sales registered in the first eight months of 2012. Mercedes Benz sales for the same month increased by 11% while BMW car sales declined by 19% for August 2012.
Head of Mercedes Benz in US, Steve Cannon said, “With an all-time record setting year so far and now with exciting product in the pipeline, including the all-new GL-Class currently on its way to dealers across the country, we plan to build on this momentum through the end of the year.”
