VCG will be the implementation partner in transforming supply chain processes of MFCS using the TOC principles. The solution will help MFCS ímprove delivery performance to customers by reducing overall inventory lead-time.
Speaking about the new engagement, Mr Kiran Kothekar, Director, VCG said, “Organized multi-brand car workshop companies face the complexity of having to deal with a very wide variety of spares across brands. Poor availability of spares coupled with very high inventory impacts not just service lead time, but also overall revenues and profitability. The assignment is aimed at ensuring high availability of spares with reduced inventory which in turn will enable rapid growth of the chain.”
Commenting on the engagement with VCG, Mr. YVS Vijay Kumar, CEO, MFCS said, “Our association with Vector is aimed at creating new benchmarks in the industry in terms of vehicle turnaround times at the workshop, level of spares inventory and daily availability of spares. This engagement will enable us in our vision which is to become one of the top three car service providers in the country by 2018.”
