Mahindra Maxximo MiniVan VX School Bus with world-class safety features launched
India’s leading utility vehicle makers, Mahindra & Mahindra launched a new variant of their Maxximo Mini Van VX, as a School Bus today. Loaded with unmatched, and never before seen safety features, the new Mahindra Minivan is priced from Rs 4.38 lakh. Apart from the safety features, it also comes with a host of comforts to make your kids travel to school not only safe but also fun.
Maxximo Mini Van VX School Bus which competes with Maruti Suzuki’s Omni and Eeco claims to be 30-40% more spacious than the Omni while mileage is at 18-20 kmpl. Though priced at a premium of INR 1 lakh over the Maruti Suzuki Omni, space, safety and travel comforts are not compromised. Robust in design and equipped with efficient brakes and frontal crash protection, the Maxximo Mini Van is slated as being one of the safest products in its category. It has been put through a bevy of tests to authenticate its performance, safety and reliability while it is supported by Mahindra’s extensive service networks across the length and breadth of the country.
This mini van can comfortably seat upto 8 passengers and offers expansive and comfortable seating space with additional luggage space at the rear making it ideal for School Van operators while clearing the gangway of any unnecessary baggage. Seats are done up in Rexine while hooks are provided for holding water bottles. Horizontal grilles on windows prevent students from putting head and hands outside the windows while the grilles also minimize glass shatter in the event of sideway collision.
Safety features on-board the new Mahindra Maxximo Mini Van VX ar, Innovative Safe Eye technology. Under this technology, parents, school principal can do real time tracking of the van. They can also check speed of the school bus using GPS on an their android smartphone, iPhone or PC. Parents receive sms notifications when the bus nears home and after it reaches school. Video recording up to 48 hours. Live feed for parents through webcam inside the Minivan, which they can watch via their 3G/WiFi enabled smartphone. In crisis, rash driving or deviation from route, SOS messages will be automatically sent to school/parents phone.
With this new minivan, Mahindra aims to ease school travel for kids, who in most cases travel to school in cramped spaces of a rickshaw, which are highly unsafe. Apart from being used as a school bus, it can also be used by tour travel operators and personal use.
