Mahindra Quanto SUV to be launched in South Africa

Mahindra Quanto SUV, which was launched ahead of the 2012 festive season in India received immediate attention. Clocking over 12,000 bookings since its launch, the sub 4 meter vehicle got off to a flying start. Following its success in the Indian market, M&M is getting set to launch the Quanto in South African markets where it is hoped to be received with equal aplomb.

This seven seater SUV comprises of an Ingenio platform. The angle of its rear bench was contracted while two foldable seats have been added at the rear. Prominent wheel arches, a high mounted stop lamp and roof rails are seen in the new Quanto while interiors and features are similar to what is seen in the Mahindra Xylo.

Being in the sub 4 meter category, Mahindra Quanto is the smallest SUV in the Mahindra lineup and is being offered specially to customers partial to diesel hatchbacks and entry level sedans. Scheduled to make its presence felt in African markets during the current year, the Quanto will be a versatile vehicle displaying fuel economies while at the same time coming in at a competitive pricing. In India, Quanto was launched with a starting price of Rs 5.82 lakhs.
