As new Mercedes Benz SLS Black Series prototype took test rounds around the Nürburgring circuit in Germany, it ended up on the guardrail while on…
The crash occurred at the Döttinger Höhe section of the Nürburgring race track which is a long straight of 1.5 miles where most AMG models test their speed at close to 186 mph. Judging from the scattered remnants of the SLS, it could be gauged that the driver lost control and smashed into the guardrail with the Gullwing coupe’s rear end.
SLS AMG Black Series will have more of an aluminum structure as against the carbon fiber monocoque. It will be powered by a 583 hp SLS AMG GT engine and this along with lighter weight and enhanced suspension will project the Black Series as the most efficient model in the Mercedes Benz fleet. When exactly the SLS Black Series will make its way into showrooms is still uncertain. Estimates suggest that the same may be officially unveiled during 2013 which will make it appear in showrooms as a 2014 model.
