Red Bull Racing Can competition will see Ankush Yeturu and Sarath Uday from Chennai go on to represent India at the Red Bull Racing Can finals to be held in Sao Paulo at the end of November during the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix weekend. These two college student RC car racers who go by the name of “Team India” built the most interesting and quickest Red Bull Racing Can at a competition which saw 168 other participants from across the country.

The can car building competition is sponsored by the energy drink Red Bull and college students from across the globe can participate in building a radio controlled car wholly out of Red Bull Cans. Red Bull only provides the chassis and electric motor. The car built by this duo from Chennai was a combination of two vehicles.

While the front half was inspired by a can car, its rear end was as per rules laid down by Red Bull which dictates that design should be from a current generation F1 car and should include an F Duct, air dams and rear spoiler. Ankush Yeturu and Sarath Uday of Anna University Chennai are now off to Brazil for the finals to be held on November 25th while they compete with winning teams from 24 other countries.
