Nissan Evalia MPV 7 seater India auto market launch on 26th September 2012

As Nissan Evalia gets set for launch well in time for the festive season it is expected to compete with a number of MPVs in its segment. Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga are likely to come up with stiff competition. Nissan Evalia will be fitted with sliding doors at the rear which makes easy access to third row seats unlike what is seen in either Innova or Xylo which possess swivel doors. Besides this factor, Evalia which was earlier seen at the 2012 Indian Auto Show is a top performer, spacious and comfortably, seating upto 7 passengers in its hold. The Nissan Evalia launch is scheduled on 26th September 2012.

Interiors have proved to be more spacious than either of its two contenders with additional room especially in the middle row while boot space is also at a premium. While speaking of fuel efficiency, Toyota Innova offers 11.8 kmpl while the Evalia offers 19.3 kmpl and this is one factor which will endear customers to the Evalia especially in these times of rising fuel prices.

At an expected price of Rs.8 to 10 lakhs Evalia has a strong case when it comes to competition when comparing with Innova and Xylo. However, Nissan is not looking to launch the MPV for the fleet market and is specially targeting individual buyers as the Japanese automakers aim to dethrone the reigning Innova in this segment.
