Suzuki fans Save the Children world fundraising tour. Pensioners, Leslie Carvall, Alan Butler, Glyn Maher, Peter Streets and Charles Scott will be undertaking a 28,000 mile expedition.
Suzuki Jimny’s were picked as they are known for their lightweight and rigid bodies which make travel if not comfortable, free of worries. These steeds have been decked with an all expedition package which includes modified springs and dampers, all terrain tyres, extra luggage racks and heavy duty front and rear bumpers.
The fundraising tour will take the men through countries like France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic and Poland before heading off to Russia. During this time they and the vehicles will be exposed to harsh climatic conditions. To ensure that they are fit and can maintain there vehicles, they are undergoing fitness training and coaching in car repair and maintenance.
