Pensioners, Leslie Carvall, Alan Butler, Glyn Maher, Peter Streets and Charles Scott will be undertaking a 28,000 mile expedition to raise funds for charity. Funds collected will be donated to ‘Save the Children’ and Oakhaven Hospice situated in Lymington Hampshire. This tour was thought off by Leslie Carvall and will see the five of them taking off in Suzuki Jimny’s on 31st of March 2013 from Trafalgar Square.

Suzuki Jimny’s were picked as they are known for their lightweight and rigid bodies which make travel if not comfortable, free of worries. These steeds have been decked with an all expedition package which includes modified springs and dampers, all terrain tyres, extra luggage racks and heavy duty front and rear bumpers.

The fundraising tour will take the men through countries like France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic and Poland before heading off to Russia. During this time they and the vehicles will be exposed to harsh climatic conditions. To ensure that they are fit and can maintain there vehicles, they are undergoing fitness training and coaching in car repair and maintenance. The tour is being sponsored by Newmans Suzuki at Totton, Southampton and further updates regarding the same can be followed on social networking sites and www.heavencanwaitimbusy.com.
