Tata Motors global wholesales decline 13.88% for Dec 2012
Tata Motors Group has revealed their global wholesales figures for Dec 2012. Including Jaguar Land Rover, Tata sold 98,968 units during December 2012 globally. This despite the fact, that JLR global sales increased 30%.
Sales fell 13.88 percent as compared to same month in last year, when the company experienced sales to the tune of 1,14,920 units including that of Jaguar land Rover. Wholesales are defined as dispatches to company dealers and not to end users.
Cumulative wholesales during the fiscal stood at 8,81,900. Wholesales of all commercial vehicles including Tata, Tata Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera stood at 52,043 in December 2012 as compared to 53,854 in December 2011 while cumulative sales for the fiscal stood at 4,36,240 units. All passenger vehicle sales during December 2012 stood at 46,925 as compared to 61,660 in December 2011 while cumulative wholesales for passenger vehicles for the fiscal stood at 4,44,769 units.
Global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles stood at 14,643 units during December 2012 and for the fiscal stood at 1,89,047 units. Taking sales of Jaguar Land Rover into account, global wholesales during December 2012 stood at 32,282 units. Jaguar sales accounted for 5,444 units while sales of Land Rover accounted for 26,838 units during the same period.
