Toyota 86 in four new avatars for 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon

Toyota comes to the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon, currently underway from January 11 – 13, 2013 with updated models. Four of these are in concept form and on display in Tokyo. 86xstyle Cb, 86 Modellista, 86 TRD Griffon and TOM’s No86V are currently being showcased with futuristic sophistication. Toyota 86xstyle Cb Concept is a designed to please the ladies.

The Modellista concept features a new front bumper with illuminated accents, side skirts and a glossy black roof along with rear spoiler and 18” matte chrome Wing Dancer II wheels and 225/40 Toyo tyres. Interiors are done up in black and red leather upholstery while instrument and interior panels are also in matching red accents.

TRD Griffon is entirely made of polycarbonate which results in reduced weight while it continues with a 2.0 liter boxer engine. Interiors sport Toyota Racing Development bucket seats, shift knob, oil, pressure and water temperature gauges along with Momo steering wheel.

TOM’s N086V sees a new 2GR FSE 3.5 liter V6 engine in place of the 2.0 liter powerplant which is also seen on the Lexus IS and GS 350. This engine offers 395 PS power and 450 Nm torque. Front bumper receives a new design while there are black wheel arch extensions fitted with 18” TOM Igeta wheels and Bridgestone Potenza S001 tyres.
