Yamaha Motor India 28% sales growth in November 2013
Following successful launch of scooters Ray and Ray Z, the company seen increased growth, while initiatives such as BRO’s Cricket League have also added to the company’s success story allowing it to achieve 34% increased growth in the past 11 months.
Scooters Yamaha Ray Precious Edition and Ray Z along with special edition FZ series motorcycles instantly appealed to customers and the company is positive of its results and expects these products to be major growth drivers in the two wheeler industry in the months ahead as well.
In fact, during Q3 2013, sales in India stood at 1.27 lakh units as compared to 86,000 units for the same quarter in 2012. For the same period this year, Yamaha sold 73,000 units in Thailand, 1.6 lakh units in Vietnam, and almost 6 lakh two-wheelers in Indonesia. Yamaha has also been shown Tricity and 250cc R25 recently.
