To be launched in India in 2015, the new Ford Figo facelift, called Ka in Brazil was finally unveiled in production guise. Apart from this, Ford Brazil has also teased the new Figo sedan, which will be named as Ka+ in Brazil, revealing EcoSport inspired centre console.

2015 ford figo hatch 1 exteriorFord Brazil has unveiled the production ready unit of Ka hatchback with official launch set to coincide with closing ceremony of 2014 FIFA World Cup. The production model of Figo hatchback resembles the concept which was earlier this year. Sleek headlamps, new front grille all designed around Ford’s global design language will be seen at the front while at the rear, features will include wrap around tail lamps and new bootlid spoiler.

2015 ford figo sedan 1 headlight and taillightFigo sedan and hatch will be offered in Brazil with a 1.0 liter naturally aspirated, three cylinder petrol engine offering peak power of 85 bhp. The India bound Ford Figo cousin’s will be powered by a 1.4 liter diesel and 1.2 liter petrol engine while a 1.0 liter EcoBoost petrol engine is also on the cards. The only other vehicle from Ford India to sport this engine is the EcoSport compact SUV.

2015 ford figo hatch 2 headlight and taillightOnce launched in India, the new Ford Figo will compete with others in its class to include Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, and Maruti Suzuki Dzire for the sedan and the likes of Maruti Swift, Tata Bolt, Hyundai Grand i10 for the hatchback. Both these new cars are expected to be built at the new Ford India plant in Sanand near Ahmedabad. No price details have been announced as on date, but expect both the cars to feature heavy localization content and an aggressive price tag.
