2016 Aprilia RSV4 gets Factory Works program at EICMA

2016 Aprilia RSV4 gets a list of updates with special emphasis on track performance. It will come in with Aprilia’s V4-MP software as standard which allows the bike to interact with a smartphone.

This allows users to use their phones to change bike settings not only prior to riding but even on turn by turn telemetry style basis. Enhanced suspension at the rear is also seen on the new 2016 RSV4 while for next year, the bike will also receive Superpole graphic.

The 2016 Aprilia RSV4 Factory Works program is optimized for track performance and will be produced as per superbike and superstock regulations while sales will be open to professional racers and bikers alike.

2016 Aprilia RSV4 is powered by a 4 cylinder 65V engine delivering 201 hp at 13,000 rpm and 86 lb/ft torque at 10,500 rpm. Engine braking is reduced at higher rpm offering a smooth ride and ideally suited for leisure cruising.

With the RSV4 among one of the lightest superbikes in its segment the model is also fitted with Ohlins suspension gear, fully adjustable 43mm inverted forks 1200 wheel travel in the front and 130mm of wheel travel at the rear. Brembo brakes, M430 monobloc radial 30mm 4 piston calipers in front and 32mm 2 piston calipers at the rear are also a part of its makeup along with Bosch ABS system for power and better braking facilities.
