A report has emerged indicating a 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer facelift is underway for end of year launch. The Lancer small car has been on sale in Australia since September, 2007, and the market has been awaiting a next generation release before the current model celebrates a decade on sale.
Designated as CJ Lancer in Australia, the model only received around six minor updates and the next one in the same essence is what we are talking about right now.
Tony Principe did not reveal any details regarding the 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer facelift, but mentioned it will be a thorough revision. Expect Mitsubishi’s new “Dynamic Shield” front fascia design that was debuted on 2016 Outlander, among other significant design highlights that fans are hoping for.
As for the Japanese automaker’s activities in the smallest continent, the company launched the substantially updated Mitsubishi Outlander last week, new generation Mitsubishi Triton is set for market debut this week and all-new Mitsubishi Challenger is slated for launch in 12 months’ time. Next year, all-new Mitsubishi ASX will roll out, then the next-gen Mitsubishi Pajero.
