After a series of leaked images came up on the internet, Ducati revealed their new SuperSport officially at the ongoing Intermot Motorcycle Show in Germany. Two new motorcycles are on offer in this range, SuperSport and SuperSport S.
Built on Ducati trellis framework, the new SuperSport range get 937cc Testastretta engines from the Hypermotard lineup. These liquid-cooled engines offer 113 hp power and 71 lb/ft torque. Riders also get three riding modes of Sport, Touring and Urban.
The base 2017 Ducati SuperSport receives 41mm Marzocchi forks and Sachs shocks while the SuperSport S gets fully adjustable Ohlins suspension both at the front and rear. The S variant also receives Ducati up down Quick Shift feature and rear seat covers as standard which are offered as accessories on the base model.
Other features include a more relaxed riding position, increased stability due to Ducati Safety Pack with Bosch 9MP ABS and Ducati Traction Control and a full range of Ducati Performance accessories.
Both the Ducati SuperSport bikes are seen with height adjustable Plexiglas screen, 16-liter fuel tank, 3 spoke wheels with Y-shaped spokes and Brembo front braking system. Headlights with LED daytime running lights and full LCD instrumentation are also among its outstanding features.
Pricing for the base 2017 Ducati SuperSport is $12,995 (INR 8,65,141), while the SuperSport S has a price tag of $14,795 (INR 9,84,983).
