55,000 Porsche cars sold YTD 2014, 2000 Macan SUV sold in April

Porsche sold 16,300 vehicles in April 2014 equating to 7% sales growth over April 2013. Through January to April 2014, Porsche has delivered 55,000 new cars to customers equating to 5.2% sales growth over the same 4 months in 2013. Panamera four door sports sedan sales growth has been maximum at 17% thus far this year.

Porsche Macan Maria Sharapova“We are continuing our qualitative growth strategy with a new top mark for new car deliveries in April,” said Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing of Porsche AG. “Our next step is the expansion of the range of our Boxster and Cayman mid-engine sports cars by adding premium GTS versions.”

Through January to April 2014, all regions reported sales increase. 13,300 deliveries have been made in China equating to 12% growth as compared to the same period in 2013. Europe sold 17,800 vehicles to report 8% sales growth over the same period in 2013.

Macan has been available at Porsche dealerships in Europe and the Middle East since April and 2,000 customers took delivery of the compact SUV in its 1st reporting month. On may 10th, new Porsche 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S with a fully automatic roof system are making their European debut.
