Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS spied in India, to rival Suzuki Gixxer soon
Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS is spied testing again in India. The bike was recently unveiled in Turkey at an event which looked like a dealers meet.
The smallest displacement Naked Sports bike to launch was until a short while ago rumoured to be named Pulsar 160 NS, because of a report stating that it will draw power from a new 160 cc engine. But at the showcasing event in Turkey, Bajaj Auto revealed the name as Pulsar 150 without the NS suffix. In India it will certainly be named 150 NS.
Except decals, addition of kick starter and absence of rear disc brake, Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS appears to be a near perfect doppelgänger of 200 NS. Engine specifications of soon-to-launch 150 NS is not out yet, but the motor benefits from triple spark technology. The crank case and gearbox housing are designed to look similar to 200 NS’. Currently available Pulsar 150 features 149.1 cc DTS-i air-cooled engine dishing out 15.06 PS max power @ 9,000 rpm and 12.5 Nm peak torque @ 6,500 rpm.
Expect India launch of Pulsar 150 NS to take place in April 2015.
