A few weeks ahead of BMW G310R’s global debut, BMW Motorrad had revealed a concept stunt bike, called 310. This concept featured everything a stunt rider would require on his / her bike. BMW Motorrad also showcased an impressive photo gallery in which the bike was seen performing various kinds of stunts.
Astride this concept was none other than Mattie Griffin, who managed to perform every stunt in the book with the Concept 310. At a recent BMW Motorrad Days event somewhere in Europe, he got a chance to check out the production ready variant of Concept 310, which we now know as G310R. Below is what he said.
Made in India by TVS, BMW G310R will be launched at a starting price of under INR 2 lakh (UK pricing already leaked). To be launched in October, it will rival the likes of KTM Duke 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Mahindra Mojo 300.
G310R is powered by a single cylinder 313 cc liquid cooled engine. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine delivers 34 hp and 28 Nm. Some of the features on offer are upside down front forks, digital instrument console, front and rear disc breaks with dual channel ABS, monoshock rear suspension, LED side indicators, side stand, mobile charging point, etc.
