BMW Group UK graduate programme 2014

BMW Group UK has introduced its new graduate programme with 13 slots available across its MINI UK production network. Developed alongside the company’s graduate schemes in Munich, the BMW Group UK Graduate Programme has a wide application ranging from engineering and finance to business and IT.

Starting in October 2014, the programme will last for 24 months through which time grads will complete 5 different placements in strategic and operational projects. A max of 3 placements in the home business. Placements away from the home business can be either in the UK or internationally. 1 of the placements must be in a different department, as well as in production and a customer facing role. Applications close on Friday 28th February 2014.

BMW Group UK graduate programme 2014Holly Chalmers, BMW Group UK’s recruitment and staffing manager, joined the company 25 years ago on a training scheme and has worked across a variety of HR disciplines and BMW Group sites during her career. Welcoming the new scheme, she said: “Investment in young people has long been a key part of our development strategy for the plant and we are looking forward to recruiting talented young people who have a passion for the motor industry.”

Student Ciaran Raymer, 23, is currently working at MINI Plant Oxford as an intern as part of his year in industry. Ciaran said: “I’ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from experts in their respected fields giving me access to an unparalleled level of knowledge. The launch of the new graduate scheme is really exciting and will be a great opportunity for anyone wanting to pursue a career in the automotive sector.”
