Exteriors of the four-door sports coupe are striking seen sitting on exclusive 20-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design. Characteristic M gills, standard BMW Individual High-gloss Shadow Line package, aerodynamically optimised exterior mirrors and twin exhaust tailpipes positioned on the outer edges of the rear apron are seen. M6 Gran Coupe uses high-tech lightweight carbon fibre composites in the construction of its roof to add to its sporty appeal, stability, and weight reduction. Swage lines on the coupe’s sides embraces the door openers and prominently flared wheel arches to blend sport with elegance.
M6 Gran Coupe interiors use Merino leather upholstery, M sports seats with integral belt guides and multifunction leather steering wheel with M themed stitches, while M multifunction active seats with climate control will be available only upon request. Console and controls are akin to the M offerings with subtle refinements. Rear seats are 60:40 split to increase boot volume from 460 to as much as 1,265 litres, accessible via through-loading hatch.
The 1870 kg car runs on a 4.4 litre M twinPower Turbo 8 cylinder petrol engine with M Twin Power Turbo technology to combines two TwinScroll turbochargers with Valvetronic, Double-VANOS and High Precision Injection to return 560 hp max power and 680 Nm max torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hr clocks 4.2 seconds on the way to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/hr. With optional M Driver’s package specified, it can take you to 305 km/hr. The EU test cycle standards recorded 9.9 litres of fuel consumed per 100 kilometres.
7 speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic includes adjustable shift characteristics and a Low Speed Assistance System with a crawl function that enables absolute control in stop-and-go traffic. Launch Control System and automatic “P” function are included too.
M6 Gran Coupe “M” features also include Active M Differential, M Dynamic Damper Control, M Dynamic mode, M Compound Brakes, Active Protection with Attention Assist, Active headrests (front) and two M Drive buttons on the steering wheel for pre-programmed drive modes.
