Readers of AUTO BILD Magazine have nominated Mercedes Benz CLA as the most beautiful car in its category where new arrivals were concerned. Besides the CLA, Mercedes Benz E Class won in similar fashion in it’s segment for AUTO BILD wherein over 90,000 readers voted for winners from the current year’s auto lineup.
The theme for this year was “Beauty Triumph” and the Mercedes Benz E Class took first place in the executive and luxury category while the CLA was a sure shot winner from among coupes and cabriolets. A noteworthy fact is also that this is the fifth consecutive time that Mercedes Benz has been bestowed this honor of being an overall winner. Mercedes Benz CLA was recognised for the fact that it stands out from others in its category. It possesses sporty accents and comes with a powerful and dynamic exterior design. Beauty here is not only skin deep but goes further into its interiors wherein the sporty theme continues portraying sheer luxury and opulence at the same time.
Earler, Mercedes Benz won “Most Innovative Automotive Brand”, and Daimler trimuphed in the “active and passive Safety Systems” for the AutomotiveINNOVATIONS Award 2013 organised by Center of Automotive Management (CAM) alongside accounting and management consultancy firm PwC. CEO of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, accepted both honours. He said, “Our pioneering spirit is undiminished. We invented the automobile and, since that time, have registered patents for around 90,000 improvements – more than any other premium manufacturer. In the last year alone, we registered an average of nine patents each working day.”
Dr. Dieter Zetsche said, “Our vision is ‘accident-free driving’: our aim is to reduce the workload of the “guardian angels” of road traffic – with safety systems that continuously become more and more perfect. In the future, our cars will be able to see in all directions. Our new S-Class and E-Class also recognise cross traffic – pedestrians, cyclists and of course other cars. And, they do so much more quickly than humans are able to.”
