Mitsubishi Fuso truck and Bus Corporation has commenced the year on a favorable note. Its success in export markets of Malaysia and Australia cannot be overlooked, especially with a large order of 650 light duty Fuso Canter trucks and medium duty Fuso Fighters. The company is heavily concentrating on expanding its export business with greater emphasis on Asia Pacific markets and has also expanded their sales networks in over 150 countries.
A sales target of 200,000 commercial vehicles per year in international markets is their endeavor. Their recent order from SWM, Malaysia’s leading waste disposal company is for 466 new trucks while Australia’s leading freight and logistics services provider – Star Track has ordered 185 new commercial vehicles from the company. SWM already owns 474 Fuso vehicles and this, along with the 466 new medium duty vehicle till take the total to 940 commercial vehicles. Australia’s Star Track is also supplementing their existing fleet of 3000 trucks with an additional 185 new vehicles of Fuso Canter.
FUSO 2015 is a growth strategy due to which the company hopes to establish itself as a profitable global player. This plan is based on five strategic pillars which include – Leader in Green Innovation, Customer Number One in Japan, Profitable Global Player, Efficiency Leader among Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturers, and Employer Number One in Japan.
