Datsun Go on 90 city India tour before launch

It was back in July Datsun Go was announced for India. This launch is being conducted exclusively by Nissan and not via sales and service partners Hover Automobiles just as yet. The Japanese automaker is also planning expansion of company networks over the next three years. Nissan currently has a total of 117 Nissan dealers which will be increased to 350 dealerships by 2016.

With added emphasis on Tier II and Tier III cities the company is currently taking Datsun Go on a 90 city road show. The automakers will cover these locations in next 10 weeks hoping to reach out to over a million people across the country. This kind of sales promotion is something that the Indian automobile industry has not seen to date. John Kullu, General Manager, Marketing, Datsun India was available for a photo op with Datsun Go at the Datsun Roadshow held in Mumbai on 14th December, 2013.

First leg of all India tour included cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Faridabad. Here the company noted enthusiastic response, with over 32,000 viewers checking out the Go Hatchback. Datsun Go will be available at a sub 4 lakh price tag while an MPV, Go+ and a sedan are also in the making.

Kenichiro Yomura, President of Nissan India Operations, said, “Dream, Access and Trust constitute the three pillars of the Datsun brand and we wish to highlight each one of them by showcasing the all-new GO to our customers. The GO promises to fulfil the aspirations of the Indian car buyers with its attractive price proposition and we are sure that it will exceed their expectations with its stylish exteriors, spacious interiors and innovative features. We wish to become a household name in India and reaching out to our customers is the first step towards it. ”
