DENZA Brand of New battery Electric Vehicles by Daimler and BYD for China

Denza for electric vehicles in China and exclusively for the Chinese market. It is developed jointly by Daimler and BYD and its concept model will make its appearance at the 2012 Chinese Auto Show. We are talking of the new DENZA all electric vehicle that sports clean technology which has been the brain child of both Daimler and BYD.

The announcement was made at the EV-The Future event held in Shenzhen and is the latest milestone in the joint venture between the two companies. BYD Daimler New Technology Co. Ltd contract was signed in May 2010 and was granted China business licence in March 2011.

DENZA is a name and logo which denotes rising power and momentum. The logo of a single drop of water and two hands is designed to showcase the company commitment to advanced technology and saving the environment. Though the vehicle is planned for its first public appearance in April at the China Auto Show, its first production model is slated for 2013.

We are at the forefront in China as the first company to form a joint venture for the development of a pure electric vehicle, and we’re continuing our pace forward with this landmark event today.”
