Electric riskshaw, scooter and superbike from Terra: Auto Expo


Japanese electric vehicle manufacturers Terra Motors put forth some innovative designs at the 2014 Auto Expo. The company displayed their Terra Kiwami Electric Superbike, an A4000i electric scooter and T4 electric 3- wheeler at the show.

Terra Kiwami Electric bike comes in with a price tag of INR 18 lakhs and is a superbike both in performance and stance. Chiseled looks and aggressive in appearance, the Kiwami superbike is sporty with a fully faired body. Terra Kiwami seen in color combinations of white and blue, has a 200 km range and takes 6 hours to charge. Having output of 13.41 bhp, the electric bike can hit a top speed of 160 kmph and is brought into India via the CBU route. It is priced at Rs 18 lakh.

Terra Kiwami electric superbike at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo 1Terra Motors’ electric scooter A4000i and electric three wheeler T4 were also on display. A4000i electric scooter comes with a removable battery that can be fully charged in around 4 hours. It features front and rear disc brakes with a drive range of 65 km. Weighing a total of 118 kgs, no prices have been announced as on date. The highlight of this scooter is it’s compatibility to plug a smartphone on it’s console on the handle bar. Once connected, all you have to do is start the special app, which will display you all the needed information like battery charge, speed, distance to empty, etc.

Terra A4000i electric scooter at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo 1T4 electric three wheeler is powered by a 3.5 kW motor drawing charge from a 48V, 120 Ah battery pack. Terra Motors is also offering lead acid and lithium ion battery options on board the T4 which has to capacity to carry 3 to 5 passengers with an estimated range of 80 kms.
