Ford Ka twins await launch in Brazil, and also in India where it will be called Figo hatchback and Figo sedan. To be launched in India next year, Ford will launch these new cars in Brazil first, starting next month. In anticipation, Ford Brazil has already revealed exterior images of these new cars, and now they reveal the first interior image.

ford figo first interior imageFord Ka hatchback and Ka+ sedan receives an innovative centre console displaying new SYNC and AppLink system which is also seen on the 2014 Fiesta launched in India earlier this month. This new AppLink system supports voice activated commands allowing the driver to dial and answer calls, use apps from the connected smartphone, navigation, muxic, etc without taking hands off the steering wheel.

2015 ford figo hatch 1 exteriorKa hatchback, to be launched in India next year, will take the place of current generation Figo, while Ka+, the sub 4 meter car, will replace the current Ford Classic. Both models will be produced from the company’s upcoming plant in Sanand, Gujarat.

2015 Ford Figo sedan revealed as Ka plus in BrazilIn Brazil, Ka and Ka+ will both receive 1.0 liter three cylinder non turbocharged engines offering 85 hp peak power and 107 Nm peak torque. A more capable 1.5 liter four cylinder engine will also be presented offering 111 hp.

For India, it is expected that the 1.0l EcoBoost will be on offer for petrol variants, while for diesel it will be their 91 PS 1.5l, also seen on 2014 Ford Fiesta. In India, Ford Figo hatchback will compete with Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Bolt, etc, while the sedan variant will compete with Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, Tata Bolt, Maruti DZire, etc.
