Honda has worked on a strategy to offer more specific vehicles in different segment than offer a large range. After stopping Civic availability, Honda has done away with Accord for the time being. A closer look at sales for April reveals demand for CR-V has remained stable with 63 units sold as compared to 58 in April 2014.
Honda Brio sales stand at 578 units for April 2014 as compared 1628 units sold in April 2013 equating to sales decline of 64.5%. Honda Amaze too has registered lower sales in April 2014 with 3355 units sold as compared to 4852 diesel sedans sold in April 2013 equating to 31% sales decline in this segment. HCIL exports stood at 402 units during April 2014 as compared to 182 in the corresponding month.
