The Hyundai Creta Petrol automatic variant which was in the news for quite some time now has been launched at INR 12.86 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new variant is based on the SX+ trim. Hyundai also took this opportunity to introduce dual airbags as standard across all Creta variants.
The AT is mated to the 1.6-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which produces 123 PS and 151 Nm of torque. The petrol automatic SX+ variant will be available with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera with sensor, leather wrapped steering wheel, 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, chrome door handles, shark fin antenna, etc.
The Creta has been a runaway success right from the launch and surpassed 1 lakh bookings in the first 8 months. The automaker is also shipping the compact crossover to over 85 countries.
The Hyundai Creta is the only model in its segment to offer an automatic transmission with a petrol engine. The move comes after Hyundai India received several customer enquiries through its dealerships.
