The new D-Max Space Cab comes with Flat and Arched deck options. Space Cab is a tad longer than Single Cab as its cabin hosts appreciable utility space 1.5 feet behind driver and shotgun front seats. This is the first pick-up truck in India to offer value space indie cabin, as opposed to its competitors like Mahindra Max pick-up, Bolero pick-up, Genio and Tata Xenon. Features in Space Cab include centralised door locking, power steering, power windows, and air-conditioning with heater.
The D-Max range of pick-ups share same power machine that features a 4-cylinder 2.5 litre intercooled turbo diesel engine that pushes 136 PS of max. power at 3,600 rpm and 294 Nm of peak torque between 1,800 and 3,200 rpm. Coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission, the pick up can carry 1.2 tonnes of pay load, transported with care by independent front suspension and leaf spring rear suspension. Fuel tank can store 76 litres of diesel.
D-Max pick ups come in Alpine white, Sterling metallic silver and Nautilus blue colours. Dimensions of D-Max Space Cab are 5.3 x 1.72 x 1.65 metres (Length x Width x Height).
Isuzu also opened its first Mumbai showroom today, and has announced opening of dealership outlets in Pune and Nasik in coming months this year. Through 2015-16, the company plans to open 60 outlets across India, in addition to existing coverage in all four states of South India, in cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Cochin, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.
