In 2013, the Festival launched Storyscapes to recognize transmedia creators who employ an interactive, web-based, and/or cross-platform approach to story creation. Tribeca also includes a 3 day Tribeca Drive-in at the World Financial Center Plaza where movies screen on the Hudson, and a family street fair in Tribeca.
Tribeca Innovation Week will be held this year through April 21-26. It’s the coming together of coders, screenwriters, hackers, futurists, gamers, directors, engineers, venture capitalists, film financers, techno radicals, the generally curious, and anyone who has a story to tell.
Tribeca Online Festival will be free and offers features, short films, and special events for those not present. Founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, TFF has been going from strength to strength. This year Lincoln Motor Company will co-sponsor Tribeca Film Festival’s popular Spotlight film section.

New for 2014 is Tribeca Interactive & Interlude: A Music Film Challenge, in collaboration with The Lincoln Motor Company, it calls for filmmakers to create an interactive music film. As signature sponsor of 2014 Tribeca Film Festival, Lincoln Motor Company will provide official vehicles.
