Powered by a 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 petrol and a 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel, the new Mahindra KUV100 has been officially launched in India. Priced between INR 4.42 lakh and INR 6.76 lakh, Mahindra KUV100 is the company’s first mini SUV, first petrol SUV and also their cheapest offering yet.
Competing with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10, Mahindra KUV100 could also affect sales of Ford EcoSport and upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ignis sub 4 meter compact SUV.
Mahindra KUV100 is being offered on sale at company showrooms across the country from today, while it will also be available on e-commerce giant Flipkart from 18th Jan. If you book via Flipkart, delivery is promised within 30 days – on condition that the buyer completes all necessary formalities with the company dealer.
Flipkart announced an auto category last month on which a host of automotive accessories will be on sale. Buyers can visit the site, select city and dealer and the request will be passed on to the dealer who will then take over for all necessary paper work, registration and sale which will be completed offline.
Mahindra KUV100 is being directed at the youth and first time buyers in the country. Its name KUV stands for Kool Utility vehicle while 100 follows the series below the TUV300 and XUV500.
