Mahindra & Mahindra Group consolidated results for quarter ended 30th September 2012

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited Group of Companies have announced their results for the second quarter of this financial year 2012. During quarter ended 30th September 2012, the Group saw an increase in gross revenue and other income to the tune of 17.7%. This figure stood at Rs.17,973.4 crores as compared to Rs.15,267.6 crores in the same period in previous year.

Consolidated group profits too increased 17.1% from Rs.682 crores in the previous year to Rs.798.7 crores in quarter ended 30th September 2012.Mahindra Vehicle Manufacturers Limited (MVML), situated at Chakan near Pune has also announced their Q2 results. Gross Revenues and other Incomes of M&M and MVML during second quarter of this financial year stood at Rs.10786.7 crores as compared to Rs.8235.8 crores in the same period in 2011 resulting in a growth of 31.0%.

Net Profits before tax during the Q2 period were at Rs.1327.2 crores as against Rs.1001.4 crores in the previous Q2 period. Profit after tax stood at Rs.978.1 crores during the quarter ended 30th September 2012 as compared to Rs.761.5 crores in same period in previous year, a growth of 28.4%. These results were noteworthy considering the difficult market situation in the country combined with rising material costs. In the Passenger Utility Vehicle segment, Entity sold 62,751 units in the Q2 period resulting in a growth of 32% over units sold in Q2 of the previous year.
