Mahindra’s vision for ‘Future of Mobility’, their next gen small electric car, has been christened as ‘e2o’. The Mahindra e20 has been designed on the 5C’s framework: Clean, Convenient, Connected, Clever and Cost-effective. This soon to be launched electric vehicle has undergone a number of hours of testing and validation, and is currently being manufactured at Mahindra’s platinum certified factory in Bengaluru.
The 5C’s framework provides a number of technological solutions for a newer and better future mobility option. It will be powered by next-gen lithium Ion batteries which have a range of 100 kms. A suitably designed charging port will allow customers to charge their vehicles at any 15 ampere charging port wherever they may be. The e20 has been equipped with Sun2Car technology which will help charge batteries installed using solar energy which will help protect the environment.
Mahindra Reva says, “e2o will draw power from the battery only when you press the accelerator. The only consumption is the AC and the music system – which is very nominal. At Mahindra REVA, we focus our energy and investments on R&D. At the same time, Mahindra REVA is also committed to ensuring a low carbon footprint and low-cost manufacturing.”
Successful launch of the Mahindra e2o will be important in Mahindra’s itinerary to provide Indian car buyers with suitable e-transportation options, for a better future. For more information, scroll down.
