The much anticipated 2013 Maruti Suzuki SX4 sedan was caught testing on the highways of Gujarat. SX4 facelift here is a VXi CNG variant. From the images we see here changes made to the new SX4 are cosmetic in nature and will include a refreshed front end with a new grille, bumper and headlight designs.
According to Yash Patel, who sent these images, he spotted the car near Naar, Kheda, when he was on his way to Ahmedabad. Patel says that he managed to speak with the driver of the car, who revealed that the car will be ready for launch early next year. In the Indian auto industry, SX4 competes with the likes of VW Vento, Ford Classic and Hyundai Accent.
Interior designs and features will remain as they are while engine specifications too will remain unchanged. Maruti Suzuki SX4 is currently offered in petrol, diesel and CNG options though surprisingly it has failed to attract its fair share of attention in Indian markets. Engine options include a 1.3 liter Fiat multijet diesel engine offering 90 bhp and 200 Nm while petrol and CNG options include a 1.6 liter engine.
