Mazda Sports Coupe Concept to debut at 2015 Tokyo Show

Mazda will be showcasing a total of 14 vehicles at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show of which one will be the new Mazda Sports Coupe Concept.

2015 Tokyo Motor Show opens on October 30th wherein Mazda will be showing a list of new vehicles that include the recently debuted Mazda Koeru concept, two units of racing-spec Mazda MX-5 Miata and Cosmo Sport which first made its presence felt in 1967.

Mazda has released a shadowy teaser of the new Sports Coupe Concept that is seen in a dark image with curvy body and elongated hood. It is also its twin exhaust pipes at the rear that are evident in the teaser image but further disclosures of what is to come on the new Mazda Sports Coupe Concept will only be revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The car in the teaser appears to be larger than the MX-5 Maita while judging from its tail light design it could also be a third generation RX-7. In keeping with the company’s theme for the Tokyo Motor Show 2015 – ‘Accelerate towards our dreams’, Mazda will also have the KOERU on display besides new generation models featuring SKYACTIV Technologies and the KODO – Soul of Motion design.

Management Speak

“The design of the sports car concept to be unveiled in Tokyo is modern but maintains a sense of lineage and authenticity, appearing almost to condense Mazda’s entire history of sports car development into a single model.”
