Mercedes GL 63 AMG gives way to Brabus B63 – 620 WIDESTAR


German after market tuning company, Brabus has turned its attention to the Mercedes GL63. This new tuning program not only adds an aggressive countenance to the vehicle but also ensures that it accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph).

There are varied wheel options. The model is fitted with a wide body kit which included well defined bumpers, extended wheel arches and a tailgate spoiler.

There is also the addition of a rear diffuser and a stainless steel sports exhaust system, besides high performance brakes. Ride height is also lowered by 30mm while the vehicle is fitted with a choice of 21, 22 or 23 inch alloy wheels with a choice of Yokohama or Pirelli tyres. Buyers of the tuned up model can also avail of illuminated sill plates, wooden trims and leather or Alcantara upholstered seats.

The BRABUS B63 – 620 WIDESTAR model with a twin turbo 5.5 liter V8 engine is now fitted with a 620 PowerXtra kit offering 63 hp additional power and 60 Nm of extra torque due to which figures now stand at 620 hp and 820 Nm. Acceleration is also augmented as the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 280 kmph. A butterfly valve helps you choose coming home or sport mode (V8 sound).
