Sitting on 15,000 bookings already, Hyundai Creta which went on sale yesterday looks set to become a cash cow for the brand in India. Also, the readiness of customers to go for a premium crossover en masse indicate that, in a few years, India will no longer be a small car nation.
With Maruti S-Cross in tow, Creta is set out to make the most of a little head start it has. The feature rich compact crossover SUV targets tech savvy young customers who are more attracted by price-to feature-ratio rather than price-to-size.
With the TVC, Hyundai highlights its compact SUV’s high strength steel construction and its car-like agility. The commercial also portrays Creta as a unisex SUV which comes with the ease of automatic transmission (diesel variant).
To recap, Hyundai Creta is available with one petrol and two diesel engine options, across 10 variants. Prices for petrol variants range from INR 8.59 – 11.19 lakhs while diesel variants start from INR 9.46 lakhs and go all the way up to INR 13.60 lakhs. All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.
