Nissan has teased a new crossover concept ahead of its world debut at the IAA 2015 (Frankfurt Motor Show) next week. Without divulging much, Nissan says that the new concept will move the bar higher in the crossover territory.
The vague teaser shows a sharp and futuristic front fascia which uses the design language first seen in Nissan Friend-ME concept. The radical concept features a contrast bonnet, elevated front fenders, high-mounted boomerang shaped LED daytime running lights and signature Nissan V-Motion grille.
The underlying character of the concept appears to be a modern interpretation of what the Juke stands for. So, the new concept could preview the next generation of the idiosyncratic compact crossover.
Closer observation reveals a sharp chin spoiler, a grilled headlamp below the boomerang LED elements, dramatic sheet metal design, blacked out A-pillar and black contrast alloy wheels. Apart from making it a design study, Nissan could also use the concept to showcase its green technologies. Expect a hybrid or electric powertrain under the skin (if at all Nissan chooses to share the concept’s powertrain details).
We will be knowing more details about Nissan’s new mystery crossover concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week.
