Apart from this, Renault India also revealed that they will be launching the 4×4 variant of Duster in 2013. Renault Duster 4×4 SUV will arrive at a later stage this year, possibly along with the Duster LPG variant, which was launched in France recently. The new Media Nav features includes 18 cms of touchscreen display, sat nav, telephony, radio and multimedia with Bluetooth. Media Nav is compatible with your smartphone, iPhone or iPod. It can also be operated via Duster’s steering mounted controls. The Renault Duster with Media Nav will be offered with the top of the line diesel variants of 85 PS RxL and 110 PS RxZ at INR 10.79 lakhs and INR 11.99 lakhs respectively.
Renault Duster competes in a segment in India which will soon see the launch of Ford EcoSport. Both, Duster and EcoSport have been fighting it out in the Brazil auto industry, where they were launched in 2012. For 2012, Duster outsold EcoSport, but for Jan 2013, EcoSport outsold Duster. What happens in India, will be revealed very soon, as Ford EcoSport is expected to arrive by April 2013. India got the Duster last year in July and ever since, Renault India has registered over 27k sales of the same. Duster has also received 18 awards, including Car of the Year 2013 in India.
