New Skoda yeti will be available in top end Elegance variant only, there will be no base or mid level variant. However, there are 4×2 and 4×4 versions of 2014 Yeti, which will be treated as variants. Both receives same inline four cylinder 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine with high pressure directed injection system and self aligning blades in turbocharger. But power and torque figures are different in each model.
Yeti 4×2 variant gets 110 PS @ 4,200 rpm and 250 Nm @ 1,500 – 2,500 rpm, while Yeti 4×4 gets 140 PS @ 4,200 rpm and 320 Nm @ 1,750 – 2,500 rpm. Front Wheel Drive (FWD) Yeti comes with 5 speed manual transmission and Permanent All Wheel Drive (AWD) model comes with 6 speed manual transmission. Exterior of 2014 Skoda Yeti facelift bears new company badge, chrome front grille on new shape frame, modified front bumper air dam, new bi-Xenon headlamps with LED DRLs, new front fog lamps, aggressive front hood, redesigned side fenders, side door mouldings with aluminium inserts, electrically foldable ORVMs, sporty alloy wheels and bi-colour roof concepts.
Interior of new Skoda Yeti gets new multifunctional steering wheel wrapped in leather, Multimedia Driver Interface (MDI), 6.5 inch touchscreen audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, 12 way electrically adjustable driver seat with 3 memory functions, steel pedal set with rubber anti-slip elements and 6 airbags among others.
New Yeti has cruise control option, tire pressure monitoring, light assistant and KESSY button (Keyless Entry Start / Stop System). 2014 Skoda Yeti has vital drive assist features like Off-road Assistant with Hill Descent Control and Uphill assist, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), HHC (Hill Hold Control), Parktronic (front and rear park distance control), Bi-Xenon AFS (Adaptive Front Light System) with corner lamps and automatically dimming exterior and interior rear view mirrors.
