Made available at a launch price of Rs 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), Tata Motors in a way introduced the right amount of zest to help its falling sales. Zest was launched with 29 segment leading features as a value for money offering. As is the practice, the introductory party is now over with Tat Motors no longer offering all features as standard.
The 333 Maintenance plan on Zest offering free maintenance for 3 years or 45,000 kms, 24×7 roadside assistance and 1,00,000 kms warranty for 3 years is being withdrawn. No doubt, all features are still available, but will now be charged for. A Tata Motors spokesperson says, “We continuously change product configurations based on learnings from the market and for sustenance. These actions are benchmarked with competition and our internal aspirations from the launch.”
Soon after Tata Zest launch, 10000 bookings were confirmed. The number has been growing with Tata Motors deliveries for Zest outnumbering its other vehicle in recent months. All new sporty hatchback- Bolt from Tata Motors will launch on 22nd January, 2015.
