Toyota Innova Crysta variants and engine details

Toyota Innova Crysta is slated for launch on May 3, 2016 at an expected price between INR 10-16 lakhs.

Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier this year, new Toyota Innova Crysta is slated to be launched on 3rd May 2016. Autocar India reveals that the new Toyota Innova Crysta will be offered in 5 variants – 2.4 GX MT, 2.8 GX AT, 2.4 VX MT, 2.4 ZX MT, 2.8 ZX AT.

New generation Innova will replace the existing Innova from the market. It will come in with a host of upgrades, making it look more upmarket as compared to the current Toyota Innova.

Based on Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, Toyota Innova Crysta sees an increase in dimensions and now stands 180mm longer, 60mm wider and 45mm taller than its earlier counterpart, while it still sits on the same wheelbase of 2,750mm.

It comes in with a new 2.4-liter diesel engine offering 147 bhp power and 343 Nm torque while it will also receive a 2.8 liter GD series engine offering 175 bhp power and 360 Nm torque. Both engines will be mated to 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox and will be fitted with PWR and ECO mode selectors.

Bolder instance and fresher in appearance, Toyota Innova Crysta receives a host of onboard equipment with LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, start/stop button, auto close for a tailgate and powered driver seat. Safety features will include airbags, ABS, and EBD while a 7” audio system with navigation is a part of its infotainment features.

It is, however, not clear from the brochure revealed whether all these features will be seen on all variants of the Toyota Innova Crysta or if they are only limited to the top end trims.
