At the 2016 Auto Expo on 3rd February, India’s third largest two wheeler manufacturer will unveil two new concepts – both based on the BMW G310R naked sports bike. These will be TVS Apache 300 Concept and TVS U69 (Codename) Concept. Of the two, TVS U69 will be launched first in India, by January 2017.
TVS Apache 300 will be a naked sportsbike, while the TVS U69 will be a fully faired Apache. Design of both these concepts is expected to be based on the new TVS Apache 200, which was unveiled a few days ago in India and Indonesia.
The engine powering these two new concepts is a 313 cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine generating peak power of 34 hp at 9,500 rpm and peak torque of 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Developed by BMW Motorrad, this engine is mated to six speed gearbox. It claims to deliver a mileage of 36 kmpl.
Apart from the two concept, at the 2016 Auto Expo TVS will also unveil the BMW G310R, which will be launched in India later this year. Once launched, these three bikes will be produced at TVS’s plant in Hosur near Bangalore.
