Volkswagen Beetle in association with Abbey Road Studios offers a chance to see Paul Weller in session
Volkswagen Beetle will be sponsoring the Paul Weller performance which will take place on 9th November 2012 at Abbey Road Studios. There are tickets to be won through online competitions hosted by Spotify digital music service. For entry to this spectacular event participants will have to visit Volkswagen’s Facebook page from where they will be able to access over 18 million songs in the Spotify catalogue. Participants will have to select their favorite track to add to VW Beetle Iconic track playlist. This competition is open till 26th October while winners will be contacted by Spotify sometime during the week commencing October 29th.
VW Beetle is not new to the world of music. This very same car was immortalized on the cover of the Beetles landmark album “Abbey Street” and has returned once again with its everlasting design and classic performance. Paul Weller is renowned for his contributions to rock. Here at Abbey Studios he celebrates the return of the Volkswagen Beetle on the 9th November.
Abbey Road rarely allows members of the public to enter its hallowed doors and hence this competition offers a unique opportunity to visit the Studio One and see Weller perform somewhere where the Beetles performed ‘All You Need is Love’ way back in 1967.

To celebrate the return of the iconic Volkswagen Beetle, London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios and Volkswagen have teamed-up to present an exclusive, one-off performance by Paul Weller in the famous Studio One on 9 November.
The only way to win access to what promises to be a truly unforgettable show is by entering a competition being hosted by the digital music service Spotify. To be in with a chance of winning one of 50 pairs of tickets, simply visit Volkswagen’s Facebook page; from here you will be invited to browse Spotify’s catalogue of over 18 million songs, and choose your ultimate track to add to the ‘VW Beetle Iconic Tracks’ playlist. The competition is open until Friday 26 October, and Spotify will contact all of the winners during the week commencing 29 October.
The design of the brand new Beetle was inspired by the original Volkswagen, a car that was immortalised on the cover of The Beatles’ landmark album ‘Abbey Road’. The new model reinvents that timeless design to create a truly modern classic – an icon reborn for the 21st Century.

The largest of Abbey Road’s spaces, the studio has hosted recording sessions from the likes of Pink Floyd, Elbow and Kanye West, plus film scores including Star Wars, Batman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The English Patient and 2001 A Space Odyssey. Most famously, The Beatles performed ‘All You Need is Love’ in Studio One, which was broadcast live to the nation in 1967.
